Political Campaign Intern

📍 Location: Salt Lake City, UT

🕒 Commitment: ~10 hours per week (flexible)

📅 Duration: Through Election Day (November 2025)

About the Campaign

Blake McClary is running for Salt Lake City Council with a vision to make our city work better for families. This campaign is grassroots-driven, and focused on engaging voters at the door making them feel seen and heard.

Internship Overview

This internship offers hands-on experience in local politics, grassroots organizing, and campaign operations. Intern will work directly with the candidate and campaign team to engage voters, execute outreach strategies, and help shape the campaign’s message.

Responsibilities

• Assist with voter outreach, including canvassing, phone banking, and text banking

• Manage social media content and assist with digital marketing efforts

• Conduct research on local issues, policies, and community concerns

• Assist in organizing events, fundraisers, and campaign meetings

• Coordinate with volunteers and help expand grassroots support

• Track voter engagement metrics and maintain campaign databases

• Provide general administrative and logistical support

Qualifications

• Passion for local politics and community engagement

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to engage with voters in person, over the phone, and online

• Knowledge of social media platforms and digital outreach strategies

• Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends
